Pay Per Click (PPC) Management & Search Engine Optimization

People travel the Internet via search engines. By making your company's website more visible across the major search engines, you can dramatically increase the amount of traffic, leads and sales you receive.

Search Engines Drive Traffic

So, how do you increase your "real estate" on the major search engines?

There are two primary ways to accomplish this goal – Paid Search advertising and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Paid Search offers immediate results by putting an ad for your business near the top or along the sides of the search engine results page (see Figure 2 below). But you pay for each click and you can only have one paid ad on a page. Getting additional Organic listings and/or improving their placement on the page takes more time, but once you get a top Organic spot it is difficult to lose (in most cases) and you pay nothing for each click you receive.

We recommend both strategies, but we prefer to start with a Paid Search campaign first and then, after certain metrics have been identified, launch an SEO campaign. Beginning with Paid Search offers two benefits. It allows us to quickly identify the keywords that drive the greatest return on investment for your business. Once these are identified, an SEO campaign can be initiated to optimize pages of your site (or the entire site) around the best and most profitable keywords – not just the most popular keywords.

Another benefit of Paid Search is that it offers immediate results. Ads typically begin displaying the same day we create your account. Some clients receive their first lead before the end of day one! But the biggest benefit of Paid Search is that it is 100% measurable against ROI. The number of people using the Internet to find what they are looking for is increasing by the day. Paid Search campaigns represent one of the top marketing strategies for almost every client we have – irrespective of industry.

Depending on your goals, an SEO campaign could be initiated at any time after the Paid Search campaign. Top ranking organic listings, the result of a well-executed SEO program, usually receive as much or more total traffic than a comparably placed paid ad and there is no cost per click. There is no limit (in theory) to the number of organic listings you can have on a search engine results page (unlike Paid Search where you can only have one paid ad per page). But, there is also no guarantee you will ever secure a top listing for every keyword relevant to your business and SEO takes time – typically 9-12 months depending on the competition and your industry.
