Since 1986, MetroTech has been providing HVAC solutions to retailers country-wide. The company was interested in getting more traffic to their website, so search engine optimization (SEO) was a high priority for our clients at MetroTech. In addition, our clients wanted a website that would expand the company’s brand reputation, appeal to big box retail chains (the client’s target audience), and—overall—validate their team’s professionalism and industry expertise.
Like all websites we do, we wanted to prominently feature what sets MetroTech apart from their competitors. With MetroTech, that’s their national footprint. We incorporated the company’s position in every major metro area across the country repeatedly in both the website’s graphics (such as a prominent service area map right below the homepage fold) and messaging to really drive home Metrotech’s nationwide service availability.
In addition, the client also wanted to leverage their usage of big data and elevate its significance on their site—as this is where MetroTech is able to provide high value to big box chains. Almost every design we made was focused on giving the site a “big data feel” with sleek color choices, minimalist design, modern images, custom iconography, and simplistic messaging. We elaborated on the client’s big data capabilities in expandable content areas that keep the site visually appealing without losing any search engine benefits.
To increase conversions, we added contact forms to every page of site and used a sticky header to make sure the company’s phone number was always visible—no matter how far down you scroll. And of course, the new, fully responsive site looks great on all devices.
