There’s a lot of fuss in the online marketing community about Bing’s choice to cease Bing Ads Express. Frankly, I’m not sure why. When I first read the news that Bing was stopping access to Bing Ads Express (not to be confused with Bing Ads), it was a relief. To quote Ke$ha, “It’s going down, I’m yelling timber.” At Blue Corona, we want to create the most efficient and measurable campaigns for our clients. Bing Ads Express did not allow this.
At Blue Corona, we made the decision to not work with Bing Ads Express. It offered fewer options for campaigns and gave both businesses and ad agencies less control over their online advertising with Bing.
Overall, it is not a bad thing that it will no longer exist after July 30. The end of Bing Ads Express will cause businesses to have more control in their online advertising decisions using just Bing Ads.
Alas, Bing Ads Express attempted to simplify the process of creating ads and failed. Many of the features needed to target niche markets were not available on this platform. Those features are needed in order to better serve our clients, as I am sure Bing noticed.
Bing is widely known as behind Google in the PPC world, and this is not their first failure to copy Google. But are they ahead of Google with this decision? Only time will tell.
Not on Bing Ads?
If you are not already on Bing Ads and do not know much about it, it is extremely similar to Google AdWords. Both Bing Ads and Google AdWords allow you to target people who are searching for your services.
The Bing Ads platform is constantly improving and it may be worth it to see how Bing Ads works for you. It may open you up to new opportunities and leads for your business. As it is a different search engine, it will have new searchers that may not be on Google.
Bing Ads has many useful features. For example, it allows you to easily import campaigns directly from Google AdWords. Additionally, Bing Ads is cheaper than Google AdWords. This can save you money when it comes to gaining new leads.
If you are a small or medium sized business owner, it may be difficult for you to keep up with the rapidly changing world of online advertising. This is where we come in. We can do everything for you – from extensive keyword research to working with you to implement campaigns to target people searching for your services and getting you customers! Even if you have worked with Bing Ads Express and now need help setting up a campaign, feel free to contact us today!
