I don’t get it. I’m poking around my Google Analytics account today and I go to one of my favorite reports:
Visitors by Network Location
(cross segmented by Keyword)
It was there yesterday, but today it’s gone!!! Am I dreaming? What happened? Where’d it go??
What do I get instead? This:
Service Provider? Service Provider? Who gives a rat’s arse about a visitor’s Internet service provider?
Why did Google remove this feature? Privacy? Are you kidding me?? It’s not like I could tell exactly who at MedImmune or Fifth Third Bank was on my website – just that someone was interested enough to visit! It was a great way to gauge the efficacy of offline advertising. Now we get zip, nothing, nada – useless data (almost).
I’d love for someone in the know to tell me why they made this change. Thoughts?
