Blue Corona Charlotte Renovates Plaza Midwood Office Space
It’s been three years since Alex Perini opened Blue Corona’s Charlotte office. Since then, the office has seen a 900% employee growth rate, leaving Blue Corona’s southern office a little bit too cramped for comfort.
To give themselves more room to grow, the Charlotte team began renovations to their Plaza Midwood office (above Midwood Smokehouse) in fall 2014. To accommodate new hires, the company rented the office space next door to double their office size. A newly built conference room houses a 70-inch smart TV for presentations and video conference calls with clients and Blue Corona’s Maryland headquarters. In addition, new workstations allow for noise control amongst account managers and sales staff. All new furniture, carpeting, and accent paint complete the renovation.

“We may have started small, but we’re bigger now and ready to make an impact on the Charlotte business community,” Perini, a 2008 UNC Chapel Hill graduate, said. “I can’t wait to show local business owners online marketing the Blue Corona way.”
The “Blue Corona way” begins with setting up accurate tracking for every single marketing and advertising strategy. The results here alone typically end up saving the average Blue Corona client thousands of dollars in wasted advertising by allowing them to make smarter marketing decisions.
So what’s next for the online marketing company? Blue Corona has yet to see a lag in demand for its pay per click (PPC) advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), lead generation, social media, website design, and conversion rate optimization services, so continued staff expansion to fill out Blue Corona Charlotte’s new office space is on the horizon.
“We’re currently looking to build our paid search and social media teams,” Perini said. “Don’t tell our Maryland office, but I’d love to see us grow even bigger than they are!”
In addition, Blue Corona wants to help more local Charlotte businesses get more leads and sales via the web.
“I think one of our competitor differentiators is that we’re not a big fancy ad agency. We help small and medium-sized local companies—think HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, etc.—grow their business through our cost-effective online marketing services,” Perini said. “We’ve turned one truck plumbing companies into 25 truck plumbing companies, helped HVAC companies win national awards, and aided the growing demand for technician jobs. It’s crazy to think that what you do impacts so many different facets of someone’s business.”
“Crazy in a good way,” she added.
