Blue Corona U). Originally created to facilitate the on-boarding and training of new employees, Blue Corona U offers online classes designed to transform students into web marketing pros in 16 weeks or less. All courses are delivered online and are available 24/7 via Blue Corona’s own e-learning platform.
When asked how Blue Corona U came to be, Ben Landers, president of Blue Corona said, “As a company, we’ve been growing at an exceptional rate. Fueling that growth requires hiring, on-boarding, and training lots of people. What we’ve found is that there are a lot of smart people out there, but not nearly as many with skills and experience in content marketing, analytics, PPC, SEO, and conversion rate optimization. We needed a way to bring smart people up to speed quickly, so we created Blue Corona U.”
At present, only Blue Corona employees have access to Blue Corona U, but the long-term goal is to make it available to the general public.
“We’ve got a little more work to do before we can offer web marketing courses to the general public, but we’re getting close. I fully anticipate having some sort of Blue Corona Web Marketing Pro certification program available by late summer ’13. We want to create something that’s widely applicable—to individuals, business owners, and/or marketing executives,” Landers said.
