When Virginia heating and cooling contractor HVAC Unlimited came to Blue Corona, they were already investing a lot of marketing dollars with other companies. But from the looks of their old website, you would never guess these guys were the authority in their market.
The problem is, far too many business owners think of their website as a brochure, when really, it’s a virtual sales rep capable of being their #1 source of new business. With a poorly performing website, HVAC Unlimited was losing leads and sales to its competitors.
First thing was first—HVAC Unlimited needed a new website. Our creative team got to work creating a custom layout for the HVAC company, designed with our best practice conversion techniques for heating and cooling companies. For example, we designed with a fixed header and navigation so that HVAC Unlimited’s phone number and contact links would remain at the top of the browser during scrolling. To make the site possible for HVAC Unlimited’s owner or anyone else with a limited knowledge of HTML to update on their own, our web development team put the new website on WordPress, a super user-friendly content management system (CMS).
With more and more searches being performed on mobile devices (and with Google’s recent mobile-friendly algorithm update), we encouraged HVAC Unlimited to opt for a responsive site framework for the new site. This way, the design and functionality would hold up no matter what size device the site was viewed on.
We helped HVAC Unlimited rethink their conversion strategy with larger calls to action and sectioned off, less distracting, blocks of content. We also integrated a Carrier product widget to dynamically display available systems without anyone needing to manually update the website.
A few final optimizations include the addition of a blog for SEO and content marketing purposes and the implementation of advanced website analytics for tracking purposes.
