Payroll Network’s business was expanding—but you’d never guess it by looking at their website. As advanced as the Rockville company’s HCM product offerings were, their website was incredibly outdated. And while the site housed valuable user content from Payroll Network’s resident experts, it was not presented in a user-friendly way.
To attract new business, Payroll Network’s marketing team knew they needed a website that could build credibility, rank in search engine results, establish their expertise, and produce qualified leads. They desired a website with not only a clear information architecture, but also consistent brand messaging that would help the company connect to its users.
In order to accomplish Payroll Network’s goals, it was important for Blue Corona’s team to gain a thorough understanding of the company’s business, including their:
- Target audience(s), industries served, and service area
- Service and product offerings
- Competitors and competitive differentiators
- Existing brand standards and preferred verbiage
- Available content assets (videos, testimonials, case studies, product demos, downloadables, etc.)
Payroll Network’s design was crafted through wireframes to give their marketing team ease of control over the final design output. Since the site was content heavy, the homepage was broken into functional and readable tabbed content sections that allowed the company to better communicate their extensive service and software offerings.
Blue Corona’s design team also developed a distinctive and consistent color palette for the new design, along with friendly but professional iconography.
To drive consistent brand messaging, the tagline “Mighty. Neighborly.” was carried throughout the entire visual design.
Additional, unique elements to this project included complete integration with CRM-based forms, infographics, and a custom solution finder form.
