Blue Corona Trains for Comfortech with CrossFit
Blue Corona and CrossFit DTR Join Forces for “Training for #Comfortech2015”
Exhibiting every year for the past five years, the online marketing experts at Blue Corona are no strangers to the Comfortech trade shows. But this year, they decided to take things up a notch and enlisted the help of next door neighbor, CrossFit DTR, to get them in the best shape possible before the trade show.
“Comfortech is really our most important event of the year. We work with a lot of HVAC companies and help them grow their businesses and Comfortech represents the best opportunity to really connect with those companies,” Lexie Bond, one of the company’s online marketing specialists, said. “So we’re going to be ready for it. St. Louis—Blue Corona is coming.”
Bond first realized the close proximity of the CrossFit DTR location after—on multiple occasions—seeing sprint drills performed right outside Blue Corona’s office windows. As the 2015 Comfortech trade show date approached, she reached out to CrossFit DTR’s owner to see if he’d be willing to help the team.
“The folks at Blue Corona came to me and asked me to train them for the biggest event of the year for them, Comfortech. It’s like their CrossFit Games,” said Tai Randall, Owner/Lead Coach at CrossFit DTR. “So I brought them in here to put them through the paces. These guys are really taking this very seriously.”
The video above shows Randall leading the team through some typical CrossFit moves (burpees, “Double Under” jump rope, muscle ups, tire flips) as well as some trade show specific drills, such as Skyline booth races.
“We hope people enjoy our ‘Training for #Comfortech2015’ video, and want to remind all the trade show attendees that we’ll be offering free marketing videos onsite at Comfortech,” said Taylor Herrgott, the head of Blue Corona’s video marketing department. “See you in St. Louis!”
